Rapper 50 Cent has announced plans for a major tour of Australia and New Zealand, set to kick off later this year. The ‘The Final Lap Tour’ will celebrate 20 years since the release of his acclaimed debut album ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
The Grammy-winning artist shared the news on social media yesterday (May 31), revealing the line-up of dates which will take place in December. Tickets for the tour go on sale Thursday, June 8, and can be purchased via 50 Cent’s official website.
The tour will kick off in Perth on December 2nd, before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. The final date is set for Auckland on December 14th. Not only that, but 50 Cent has promised special guests at each of the shows, adding to the excitement of the tour.
The announcement of the tour follows January’s news that 50 Cent is creating a ‘modern’ version of Eminem’s semi-autobiographical film 8 Mile. As well as this, the rapper admitted earlier this month that his upside down performance at the Super Bowl was ‘a mistake’, though it did spawn a number of hilarious memes.
This tour is sure to be a great chance for 50 Cent’s fans to experience his classic hits. Tickets will undoubtedly be in high demand, so make sure you get yours quick!
