Hip-hop icon 50 Cent is coming to Australia and New Zealand this December to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his classic debut album ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’. The rapper announced the news on social media yesterday (May 31).
The ‘The Final Lap Tour’ will see 50 Cent perform in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland. Joining him on the tour are special guests, yet to be announced. Tickets go on sale Thursday 8 June at 2pm local time.
The tour announcement comes after 50 Cent revealed plans to create a “modern” version of Eminem’s semi-autobiographical film 8 Mile. He wants the film to show “details” that wouldn’t usually be seen in interviews or other releases.
The rapper also admitted that hanging upside down at last year’s Super Bowl was “a mistake”. Despite the mixed reviews, he performed ‘In Da Club’ while suspended upside down from the ceiling. His performance went on to spawn a number of memes.
Australian and New Zealand music fans will get the chance to see 50 Cent perform live when he visits in December for ‘The Final Lap Tour’. Don’t miss out, secure your tickets on Thursday 8 June at 2pm local time. Get ready to Celebrate 20 Years of Get Rich or Die Tryin!
