Angus Stone has just dropped his fourth album as Dope Lemon, ‘Kimosabè’, along with its title track. The track features co-writing credits from famous actors Will Ferrell and Judd Apatow, and samples dialogue from their 2008 comedy Step Brothers. The music video for the single, directed by Daniel Mayne, has been released alongside the exciting announcement.
The upcoming album, which will be released on September 1 via BMG, follows Stone’s 2022 album ‘Rose Pink Cadillac’. As well as featuring a guest spot from Sloan Peterson on the track ‘Broke Down Casino’, the album is notably special for its cover art – the first to show Stone’s face without a cartoon lemon obscuring it. Stone commented on the significance of this, saying it was a reflection of his journey and growth.
The tracklist for ‘Kimosabè’ includes ‘Kimosabè’, ‘Derby Raceway’, ‘Golden God’, ‘Miami Baby’, ‘Just You & Me’, ‘Blue Moon Fox’, ‘Broke Down Casino’, ‘Slinging Dimes’, ‘Give Me That Fire’ and ‘Lemon Tree’. Fans can pre-order the record now for a taste of what’s to come.
This album is sure to be a hit with Stone’s fans, both old and new. With the combination of his unique sound and the classic comedy vibes of Ferrell and Apatow, ‘Kimosabè’ is set to be an album to remember.
