Paramore fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming announcement of a tour in Australia later this year. The band, who have become one of the most respected acts of their generation, took to Twitter to tease the news with a post reading “6.27 – g’day” and a link to a Paramore Down Under website.
Rumours of an Australian tour began circulating after a June 1 Good Dye Young meet and greet session with Hayley Williams, during which a fan asked if the band will perform in Australia in the near future. These were then confirmed by Instagram user @paramorebrazil.
The band last toured Australia and New Zealand in 2018, as part of their ‘Tour Four’ world tour, in support of their ‘After Laughter’ album. They performed in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland.
Paramore’s most recent album, ‘This Is Why’ was released in February and earned a five-star review from music fans. The record was celebrated for its fearless songwriting and adventurous vocal detours.
Paramore’s upcoming announcement is sure to be highly anticipated by fans of the group, who have been eagerly awaiting their return to Australia. Fans of the band should stay tuned for the official announcement on June 27.
