Pop star Rihanna is making a major move at her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty. After founding the company in 2018, Rihanna is stepping down from her role as CEO and handing the reins to former Anthropologie group CEO Hillary Super. The switch is slated to take effect on June 26.
The singer-turned-entrepreneur shared her enthusiasm for the transition in a statement to Vogue, saying “It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years. This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer. I’m so grateful and excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO — she is a strong leader and is focused on taking the business to an even higher level.”
Rihanna’s success with Savage X Fenty has helped rocket her net worth into the billions, according to Vogue. Meanwhile, her performance at this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show has officially become the most-watched of all time, with 121.017 million views according to a report from Nielsen.
The ‘Work’ singer also recently received a standing ovation for her performance of ‘Lift Me Up’ from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack at the Oscars 2023.
Rihanna’s inspiring transformation from pop star to entrepreneur is a testament to her ambition and dedication. Fans are eager to see what the future holds for Savage X Fenty and the starlet as she continues to make waves in the music and fashion industries.
