Thousands of music fans flocked to Glastonbury 2023 today (June 25) to witness Elton John’s legendary headline set at the Pyramid Stage. Fans of the singer donned costumes, glasses and sequins to show their admiration for the star, a sight that was not lost on Elton, who thanked the huge crowd for their 52 years of love and loyalty at the end of the show.

John was joined on stage by four special guests throughout the night, including Brandon Flowers of The Killers, Rina Sawayama, Jacob Lusk, and the London Community Gospel Choir. Fans enjoyed renditions of ‘Tiny Dancer’, ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ and ‘Are You Ready For Love?’, with Elton remembering when he first met Brandon Flowers in 2005 to hear The Killers’ debut album ‘Hot Fuss’.

Earlier in the day, Yusuf/Cat Stevens paid tribute to George Harrison with a cover of The Beatles’ ‘Here Comes The Sun’ during his Legends’ Slot performance. Sophie Ellis-Bextor opened the Pyramid Stage, but fans were disappointed that her set wasn’t live-streamed. Japanese Breakfast’s set had to be cancelled due to travel delays, but luckily was replaced by Eaves Wilder. Finally, Lil Nas X performed an incredible slot on the Pyramid Stage, just before Elton John took the stage.

Glastonbury 2023 has been a huge success, and fans have enjoyed the special performances and shows put on by the talented musicians. It’s been a memorable week for music lovers, and the perfect way to end it was with Elton John’s star-studded show.
