Rock fans were left in awe last weekend after Queens Of The Stone Age reunited with their old friend ‘Spider-Man’ during their set at Rock Werchter.
The band’s frontman Josh Homme first noticed the fan in the crowd dressed as the web-slinging superhero at the same Belgium festival back in 2018 and subsequently invited him to join the band onstage.
At the weekend, the group returned to Rock Werchter and were once again greeted by ‘Spider-Man’.
As the band began their 2007 single ‘Make It Wit Chu’, the costumed fan held up a comic book-style sign asking Josh “Wanna meet again?”.
The frontman laughed in response before asking the band to “break it down just a little bit” as their guest made his way to the stage.
The fan proceeded to hug members of the group before taking to the mic and addressing the crowd with the famous Spider-Man motto, “With great power comes great responsibility”.
Josh Homme then watched as ‘Spider-Man’ flew off the stage, saying “Look at him go. Ladies and gentlemen… Spider-Man.”
The set also included the live debut of Queens Of The Stone Age’s new single ‘Straight Jacket Fitting’, which comes from their recently released album ‘In Times New Roman’.
The group had an electrifying performance at Glastonbury Festival earlier this year, and are set to embark on a run of UK and Ireland concerts in November.
Fans can find tickets to the tour online and experience the energy of a Queens Of The Stone Age show for themselves.
