The Armed have just dropped the news that their highly anticipated album ‘Perfect Saviours’ will be released on August 25th via Sargent House. With a unique blend of rock, alternative and experimental sounds, the group have also debuted the lead single ‘Sport Of Form’, featuring Julien Baker.
The release of ‘Perfect Saviours’ is made even more special with the addition of special guests, such as Sarah Tudzin (illuminati hotties), Mark Guiliana, Patrick Shiroishi and Justin Meldal-Johnsen. Vocalist Tony Wolski expressed that the album is an ‘unironic, sincere effort to create the biggest, greatest rock album of the 21st century.’
The accompanying video for the single ‘Sport Of Form’ features an unexpected cameo from Iggy Pop playing the role of God. Wolski explains that the song is about the ‘human need to win a game that we’re not even actually playing.’ He adds that it is a reflection of the ‘cognitive dissonance between beauty and ugliness, severity and tenderness, obscenity and grace.’
The Armed will be touring in support of ‘Perfect Saviours’ with Queens Of The Stone Age, as well as headlining their own shows. The tour dates include stops in Sterling Heights, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Bridgeport, Philadelphia, Washington, Portland, Queens, Raleigh, Asheville, Atlanta, Nashville, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle, as well as Boston, Baltimore, and Detroit.
