Rap superstars Drake and Nicki Minaj have reunited for a new collaboration that will appear on the Canadian rapper’s forthcoming album ‘For All the Dogs’. The pair, who have not released a song together since 2011, have joined forces once again to create an exciting new track.
Drake is currently in the midst of a tour with 21 Savage, performing shows across North America. During a stop in Detroit, he revealed to the crowd that he and Nicki Minaj had teamed up on a song for his upcoming album. The former Young Money stars have only collaborated on three tracks before, including ‘Moment 4 Life’ from Minaj’s debut album ‘Pink Friday’, ‘Up All Night’ from Drake’s debut ‘Thank Me Later’ and Nicki’s feature on ‘Make Me Proud’ in 2011.
The ‘It’s All a Blur’ tour has been a success for Drake, but he was hit with a fine of $230,000 (£178k) for going 23 minutes over curfew in Detroit. During a Chicago show, he threw a jab at Childish Gambino, who previously claimed ‘This Is America’ was originally a Drake diss.
‘For All the Dogs’ was announced in June, alongside Drake’s debut poetry book Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream of Consciousness. Fans are still waiting for a release date for the album, which will be further boosted by the eagerly anticipated Minaj collaboration.
