Legendary pioneers of electronic pop, Kraftwerk, are set to tour Australia and New Zealand this November. The iconic four-piece band will also make a much anticipated return to the Meredith Music Festival in rural Victoria.

Frontier Members have the exclusive access to pre-sale tickets beginning Monday, July 17 at 11am local time. General tickets will be available from Wednesday, July 19 at 10am local time. Meanwhile, those wanting to head to the Meredith Festival can join the ballot now.

Kraftwerk was formed in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and the late Florian Schneider in Dusseldorf. Their pioneering use of synthesisers revolutionized the sound of pop music, leading to the release of 11 studio albums, including the classics ‘Autobahn’ (1974), ‘Trans Europa Express’ (1977), ‘Die Mensch-Machine’ (1978) and ‘Computerwelt’ (1981).

The band’s robotic funk has been highly influential in the hip-hop and breakdancing scenes since the early days. Artists such as Afrika Bambaataa and the Soulsonic Force sampled their music in the track ‘Planet Rock’, while other artists like New Order, Miley Cyrus, Dr. Dre, Coldplay and Timbaland have also been inspired by Kraftwerk’s unique sound.
