Bombay Bicycle Club have collaborated with singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone to bring fans their latest track, ‘Diving’, off their upcoming album, ‘My Big Day’. The song is an ode to the feelings of discovery and adventure that accompany the summer of one’s 15th year.
The collaboration came to life after Humberstone asked frontman Jack Steadman to work on her own music. Knowing that Humberstone was a fan of the band, Bombay Bicycle Club knew she was the perfect fit for their new track. Steadman said: “Her music perfectly captures those feelings of early life, and her voice gives the whole song so much emotion.”
‘My Big Day’ is the follow-up to the band’s 2020 album, ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’. Produced by Steadman, it features collaborations with Damon Albarn, Jay Som, Nilüfer Yanya, and Humberstone, with a fifth special guest set to release a song with the band later this summer. The album is set for release on October 20th and can be pre-ordered now.
Bombay Bicycle Club will be supporting the album with a series of record store gigs in July, as well as a full European headline tour in November.
