Brian Warner, better known by his stage name Marilyn Manson, is set to enter a plea of no contest in a case that involves him being accused of spitting and blowing his nose on a videographer back in 2019. The incident occurred during Manson’s concert in Gilford, New Hampshire.
The rocker was charged with two counts of simple assault, and if found guilty, he would have faced prison time and a $2,000 fine for each charge. However, Manson’s plea will likely result in a $1,200 fine and 20 hours of community service for the alleged nose-blowing offense. The charge for the spitting incident will be dropped.
Manson has faced a series of lawsuits and allegations from over a dozen women accusing him of both physical and sexual abuse. This led to the singer-songwriter being dropped from his label, Loma Vista. One of the accusers was actor Evan Rachel Wood, who accused Manson of grooming, manipulation and “horrific abuse” back in 2022. Manson filed a defamation lawsuit against Wood, which was later dismissed by a US judge.
Another accusation came from Game of Thrones actor Esme Bianco, who alleged their relationship included drugs, constant monitoring, physical abuse, and sexual assault. This lawsuit was settled in January of this year. Two other lawsuits are pending, both filed by Jane Does. Manson has consistently denied all allegations against him.
Marilyn Manson has been an influential figure in the music industry for decades, and this recent legal battle has caused a stir among his fans. It remains to be seen what the outcome of this case will be, and how it will affect Manson’s career in music.
