K-pop superstar Jungkook from the iconic boy band BTS has released a whole new take on his solo single ‘Seven’. On July 21, the singer released the ‘Weekend Ver’ EP, featuring four new remixes of the track: Lofi, Nightfall, Island and Festival. Each remix is available to listen on streaming services with its own unique video visualizer.
The ‘Lofi Mix’ is a more relaxed version of the song, featuring a jazzy horn section and a smooth backing piano melody. The ‘Nightfall Mix’ on the other hand is a darker and more dramatic version of the track. The ‘Island Mix’ and ‘Festival Mix’ of the song are more upbeat and upbeat house and dance-pop influenced, respectively.
These four remixes follow two more released earlier this week on July 17: the ‘Summer Mix’ and the ‘Band Ver’. The original version of the song was released last Friday on July 14.
Jungkook also recently performed ‘Seven’ live for his first solo performance on BBC Radio One’s Live Lounge. During the appearance, he also covered Oasis’ ‘Let There Be Love’.
In a four-star review, ‘Seven’ was praised as “a summer-ready bop that also adds new facets to the singer’s artistry”.
Prior to the release of ‘Seven’, Jungkook made two of his older solo songs, ‘Still With You’ and ‘My You’, available on streaming services for the first time. These tracks were released in 2022 and 2020 respectively as part of BTS’ annual Festa celebrations.
