Legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell has dropped a live album of her 2022 comeback gig at the iconic Newport Folk Festival. The surprise set, titled ‘At Newport: Featuring the Joni Jam’, features 13 of her classic tracks including ‘Carey’, ‘A Case Of You’ and ‘Big Yellow Taxi’, with special guest appearances from Brandi Carlile and Marcus Mumford.
The live album was released just in time for the Newport Folk Festival’s return, and is now available to stream on Apple Music. During her performance, Mitchell performed her iconic hits from her extensive career, as well as a cover of George Gershwin’s ‘Summertime’.
The release of the album follows Mitchell’s first full headline show in over 20 years, which took place this summer at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington. At the show, she played a 24-song set of tracks from her career, as well as a few covers, and was joined by Brandi Carlile and Marcus Mumford.
