“Travis Scott’s ‘Utopia’ Becomes One of 2023’s Biggest Albums with Over 650 Million Streams”

Travis Scott’s latest album ‘Utopia’ has quickly become one of the most streamed albums of 2023. Just two weeks after its release, the album has been streamed over 650 million times worldwide. Apple Music reported that it had the biggest first-day streams of any album in 2023, and Spotify named it the most streamed record of the year on its first day with 128 million streams.

In terms of both sales and streaming, ‘Utopia’ has had the third-biggest first week numbers of 2023, beaten only by Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift. The star-studded album features an impressive list of collaborators, such as Beyoncé, SZA, Kanye West, Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel, Bon Iver, The Weeknd, Sampha, Drake, James Blake and Young Thug.

To celebrate the album’s release, Scott put on a special show and livestream at Circus Maximus in Rome, Italy. The show featured a special guest appearance from Kanye West, who performed ‘Praise God’ and ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’. It marked the first time West had performed live in 18 months.

The album has faced some criticism, however, as KayCyy was not credited for his feature on the second track ‘Thank God’, despite performing the song’s chorus and reportedly writing a large part of it. When a fan tweeted about his lack of credit, KayCyy responded by saying: “Y’all keep sending me these messages… Y’all know what I do..! I’m not no background singer…”

Travis Scott has become one of the most successful artists of the year, and it looks like ‘Utopia’ will continue to dominate the music charts in the months to come.
