Gracie Abrams Announces 2021 Australian Tour Ahead of Debut Studio Album Release

American songstress Gracie Abrams is set to embark on a tour of Australia early next year with three headline shows. The tour kicks off in Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on January 16, before heading to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on the 18th, and concluding at Melbourne’s Forum on the 21st.

Tickets for the Australian tour go on sale next Tuesday (August 22), with a Frontier Members pre-sale starting this Friday (August 18).

The tour will support the release of Abrams’ debut studio album, ‘Good Riddance’, which was co-written with The National’s Aaron Dessner and produced largely by Dessner. The album was released in February this year, with singles such as ‘Difficult’, ‘Where Do We Go Now?’, and ‘Amelie’ being released prior to its launch.

Speaking about the album, Abrams told NME, “[I] learned through making this album, at least at this point in my life, [about] having real space from the noise. Being in a space that fostered such honesty, it was never [about] guessing, ‘What are we going to write about today?’”

Abrams has been on the road for most of the year, having wrapped up a 30-date tour supporting Taylor Swift on the North American leg of her Eras world tour. She’s also signed on to open for Swift when the tour returns to the US in October next year.

Fans of Abrams can look forward to an exciting Australian tour in the New Year.
