Olivia Rodrigo Becomes Chelsea FC Superfan, Unlocks New Album ‘Guts’

Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo recently attended her first-ever football match and revealed she is now a proud fan of Chelsea FC. She took to her Instagram stories to share a video of her running on the pitch at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (August 13), the day of the team’s first Premier League game of the season against Liverpool.

The singer was able to meet up with Chelsea defender, Ben Chilwell, who presented her with a blue number eight football shirt embossed with her last name. Chilwell shared a photo of the two of them chatting and posing with the shirt on his own Instagram account. Chelsea FC shared the same photo on their social media accounts, with a caption that read “New Chelsea fan unlocked: Olivia Rodrigo!”

Rodrigo recently released a new single called ‘Bad Idea Right?’, which will be featured on her upcoming second studio album ‘Guts’. ‘Guts’ is set to be released on September 8th via Geffen Records. Other tracks on the album include ‘All American Bitch’, ‘Ballad Of A Homeschooled Girl’, ‘Love Is Embarrassing’, and ‘Pretty Isn’t Pretty’.

Olivia Rodrigo has expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming record, saying that the title ‘Guts’ means bravery, intuition and was inspired by her current state of mind. Fans are excited to hear the new album and see what the singer has up her sleeve.
