at the end.
K-Pop girl group FIFTY FIFTY have finally broken their silence regarding the lawsuit against their label, Attrakt. On August 17, handwritten letters were released on the brand-new Instagram account @fifi_fifi1118.
The members of FIFTY FIFTY expressed their shock and confusion at the current media and press coverage, and the misunderstandings and accusations that have been snowballing. They went on to say that they have been trying to protect their music, and that taking the issue to court was the best way to uncover the truth and ensure their rights.
The group also stated that there have been many untrue stories reported in the media, but they have been careful about commenting on them as they don’t want to admit or accept what has been reported.
FIFTY FIFTY have been continuously gathering materials and evidence to prove their point, and hope that the public will look at the facts objectively. They have been sticking together through these difficult times, and hope to continue on as a four-member group in a trustworthy environment.
The lawsuit was filed by FIFTY FIFTY against Attrakt in June 2023, claiming that the label had violated the terms of their contract. That same day, the K-pop agency filed a criminal complaint against its former co-CEO Ahn Sung-Il. In the days leading up to the announcement, Attrakt had released several statements alleging that Warner Music Korea and Ahn Sung-il had been attempting to poach members of the group.
