Drake recently experienced an unexpected surprise while performing on stage at the Chase Center in San Francisco. During his ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour, a fan tossed a copy of his poetry book, Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream Of Consciousness, in the rapper’s direction. Drake, however, was able to catch the book before it hit him in the face.
The incident marks the third time that Drake has encountered fans throwing potentially dangerous objects at him during his current tour. The first incident was a phone hitting him in the arm, the second was a vape, and the third was a giant pink bra thrown by his father as a prank.
Audience members throwing objects at performers has become a concerning trend in recent months. Other artists such as P!nk, Harry Styles, and Ava Max have all experienced similar incidents. Perhaps the most alarming was when Bebe Rehxa received stitches after a fan threw a phone at her face during one of her concerts.
It is important to note that throwing objects at performers is never acceptable and can put them in danger. Fans should enjoy the show from the safety of their seats and respect the performers on stage.
