2021 MTV Video Music Awards: Måneskin, Demi Lovato, Karol G, Stray Kids to Perform at Prudential Center

The MTV Video Music Awards are just around the corner and this year’s lineup of performers is set to be one of the best yet. Måneskin, Demi Lovato, Karol G, and Stray Kids have all been announced as the first acts to take the stage at the Prudential Center in New Jersey on September 12th.

Rome-based rockers Måneskin will make their second consecutive appearance at the VMAs, premiering their new single ‘Honey (Are You Coming?)’. They are also up for Best Rock for their single ‘The Loneliest’ from their album ‘RUSH!’.
Demi Lovato will make her return to the VMAs after a six-year absence, just days before the release of her new album ‘Revamped’. She is nominated for two awards, Best Pop and Video for Good, for her single ‘Swine’.

Colombian reggaeton star Karol G will make her VMA debut and is up for Artist of the Year, as well as two other awards. South Korean boyband Stray Kids will also make their mark on the show, performing ‘S-Class’ from their album ‘5-Star’.

Taylor Swift is among the nominees for this year’s awards with eight nods. Doja Cat and SZA each have six nominations, while Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, and Sam Smith have five each. All ten are also up for Video of the Year.

This year’s VMAs also feature a slew of first-time nominees, including Metro Boomin, Boygenius, Fletcher, Rema, Arya Starr, Burna Boy, Davido, GloRilla, Ice Spice, Kaliii, Peso Pluma, PinkPantheress, and Reneé Rapp. Tune in on September 12th to see who will take home the awards!
