Legendary Pink Floyd bassist and frontman Roger Waters has just released a brand new solo version of the classic 1973 hit ‘Time’. The reimagined classic track from the iconic eighth album ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ has been given a fresh, atmospheric twist with Waters’ hushed vocals at the forefront.
Produced with Gus Seyffert, the album ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon Redux’ also features a studio band consisting of Seyffert, Joey Waronker, Jonathan Wilson, Johnny Shepherd and Jon Carin. The project coincides with the original album’s 50th anniversary and Waters has said he wanted to bring a different perspective to the reimagined version, with the “wisdom of an 80-year-old”.
The musician has previously released a solo version of ‘Money’ and this latest track will be included on the upcoming album. Waters is set to perform the reimagined album at two shows at the London Palladium on October 8 and 9. Tickets are available now. Nick Mason, former bandmate of Waters, has already heard snippets of the album and described it as “absolutely brilliant”.
The reimagined version of ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ is set for release on October 6 and is available to pre-order/pre-save now. Fans of Pink Floyd and Roger Waters won’t want to miss out on this unique album.
