Aerosmith embarked on their long-awaited farewell tour, dubbed ‘Peace Out’, this past weekend with a show at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The show featured fan-favorites, as well as some surprises like a five-year-old live debut of ‘Adam’s Apple’ and a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s classic track, ‘Stop Messin’ Around’.
The setlist was comprised of 18 songs, kicking off with the hit ‘Back In The Saddle’ from their fourth album ‘Rocks’, followed by ‘Love In An Elevator’. The band also played ‘Cryin’’ and ‘Janie’s Got A Gun’, before performing the 1975 track ‘Adam’s Apple’ for the first time in years.
Guitarist Joe Perry had the honor of singing lead vocals on the Fleetwood Mac cover, ‘Stop Messin’ Around’. The setlist was rounded out with back-to-back classic songs ‘Toys In the Attic’, ‘Dream On’ and ‘Walk This Way’.
The band is on the road to bid farewell to their 50-plus-year career, with the tour will wrapping up in Montreal on January 26, 2024. Other dates include a hometown show at Boston’s TD Garden on New Year’s Eve, as well as a slot at the iconic New York City venue, Madison Square Garden.
Aerosmith’s frontman Steven Tyler has said it’s not goodbye, just “peace out,” and fans still have plenty of opportunities to catch them on the road. Find all tour dates and any remaining tickets here.
