South Korean Singer Jini Teases Fans With a Possible Solo Release

South Korean singer Jini, formerly known as Jinni when she was part of the K-pop girl group NMIXX, has been teasing fans with a possible solo release. On September 3, the artist dropped an exciting TikTok video that featured different glimpses from her life such as her time in the recording studio and practicing her dance moves in the studio. The video was soundtracked by what appears to be an unreleased song from Jini and she can be heard singing “Damn, here we go again / What we could’ve been, yeah / Here we go again and again.” The post was captioned with “Thank you for waiting”.

The post comes four months after Jini posted a mysterious “Stay tuned” video. Around the same time, she signed with new agency United Artist Production (UAP) and left JYP Entertainment and NMIXX due to “personal circumstances”. She is now managed by UAP and Sublime Artist Agency, home to Tiffany Young, Jackson Wang, and more. Sublime said it would “provide generous support to UAP’s artist Jinni’s global activities”.

In July, NMIXX made their comeback with their third single album A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream, featuring the title track ‘Party O’ Clock’ and pre-release track ‘Roller Coaster’. Meanwhile, fans eagerly await Jini’s upcoming solo project and are crossing their fingers that it’ll be released soon.
