Drake and Lil Yachty have teamed up yet again for a brand new song that has gone viral, with the 6God giving a shout out to A$AP Rocky. This comes in the wake of Drake’s upcoming eighth studio album, FOR ALL THE DOGS, which features Nicki Minaj and Bad Bunny, as well as his good friend Yachty.

The song was teased when clips of the two rappers filming a music video for the unreleased collaboration went viral on Twitter. One of the standout lyrics is “I ain’t pretty Flacko, bitch, this shit get really Rocky”, alluding to one of Rocky’s popular nicknames. The videos were taken by a Snapchat user on the set of the video shoot, and coincided with Drake posting prolific music video director Cole Bennett on his Instagram story.

This comes after Rocky seemingly dissed Drake at Rolling Loud Miami earlier this year. While performing his upcoming album ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ for the first time, Rocky called out an unnamed rapper on one of the tracks. He rapped: “First you stole my flow, so I stole your bitch/Then you stole my style, I need at least like 10 per cent/ All due disrespect, I hope you take offence.”

Drake and Yachty previously collaborated on the 2020 single ‘Oprah’s Bank Account’, which also featured DaBaby. Yachty recently kickstarted his podcast FUTUREMOOD by interviewing the actor-turned-rapper, and Drake has unveiled the artwork for FOR THE LOVE OF DOGS, which was drawn by his five-year-old son, Adonis.

In July, Lil Yachty’s fifth studio album ‘Let’s Start Here’ was dubbed “one of the best albums of 2023 so far.” The Atlanta rapper went full Tame Impala on this psych-rock escapade.

Meanwhile, Drake has been on the ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour with 21 Savage, which has seen Sexyy Red opening for them as of August 15, J. Cole substituting for an absent 21 Savage in Montreal, and Travis Scott joining Drake on stage to perform their song ‘MELTDOWN’.

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky welcomed their second child in August, but the baby’s name has been kept a secret. Rihanna gave birth to her first son, RZA, in May 2022.

It looks like fans of Drake and Lil Yachty can look forward to more collaborations in the near future, and we can’t wait to hear what they have in store.
