Dionne Warwick Looks to Discuss Logic Behind Elon Musk’s X Changes with the Tech Mogul

Legendary singer Dionne Warwick had some choice words for billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk during a recent interview with People. Following the entrepreneur’s takeover of the popular social media platform, now known as X, Warwick has voiced her concern about the radical changes being implemented.

The five-time Grammy Award winner is now looking for an audience with Musk to discuss the logic behind certain decisions being made, particularly the removal of the verification stamp on accounts, only available to those who pay for a subscription.

“I have yet to speak to that young man and I intend to because I am not quite sure what he’s doing or if he knows what he’s doing,” said Warwick.

In a move that has been met with some controversy, Musk recently announced plans to remove the “block” feature from X, leaving users forced to depend on the mute button instead. Unfortunately, no specific timeline has been shared yet, but when discussing the feature, the Tesla CEO said that it “makes no sense” to have both options.

The “I Say a Little Prayer” singer has been vocal in her criticism of Musk since his purchase of Twitter, warning users of the repercussions it may bring, and questioning his true intent. Despite her reservations, Warwick is still willing to give the tech mogul the benefit of the doubt.

Though opinions on the matter vary, many celebrities have weighed in, including rapper Ice T and producer Geoff Barrow. During a recent Valorant Champions tournament, Musk was even booed by the crowd and told to “bring back Twitter.”

No matter what the outcome of Warwick’s meeting with Musk is, one thing is certain – the fate of X is left uncertain. With such a drastic change, it is yet to be seen what the future of the platform looks like, and what effects the changes will have on its users.
