Priscilla Presley has recently revealed that she and the late Elvis Presley never had sexual relations when they first met. The iconic singer was 24 and Priscilla was 14 when they first met in Germany in 1959, and they later married in 1967 when she was 21.
At a press conference during the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of Sofia Coppola’s biopic Priscilla, Presley discussed her relationship with the singer. She said that Elvis respected her age and never took advantage of her. She was also a great listener, which she believes was the connection between them.
Priscilla explained that she never told anyone at school that she was seeing Elvis. Despite their deep connection, the couple separated in 1972 and divorced the following year. Coppola’s biopic, which is based on Presley’s 1985 autobiography, Elvis and Me, stars American actor Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla and Jacob Elordi as Elvis.
The film is set to premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 9, before it is released worldwide on January 1, 2024. Fans of Elvis Presley and Priscilla can look forward to a film that takes an intimate look at their relationship and the icon’s turbulent marriage.
