Legendary musician Dave Stewart is kicking off the Sweet Dreams 40th Anniversary Tour this fall, with a series of dates in Switzerland, the UK, France, Germany, Vienna, and the Netherlands. The tour is to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Eurythmics’ breakthrough album, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).

Stewart will be joined by a female band, including Australian vocalist Vanessa Amorosi, RAHH, and Kaya Stewart, the daughter of Dave Stewart and goddaughter of Annie Lennox. Tickets are on pre-sale now, with general sale starting Friday at midday BST.

The tour is a tribute to the late Annie Lennox who Stewart collaborated with for many years. Stewart said of the tour “I love playing live shows and am so excited to be onstage with this amazing lineup of musicians and singers most of whom I have performed with on many occasions. Choosing a band that are all outstanding female musicians led by the brilliant keyboardist Hannah Koppenburg is my way of paying homage to my great friend and collaborator Annie Lennox.”

In January, Eurythmics celebrated 40 years since the release of Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). Lennox commemorated the milestone with a post on social media, and Stewart reflected on the landmark birthday with a post on Instagram.

The tour will be a celebration of the Eurythmics’ greatest hits and a tribute to the legacy of Annie Lennox. Fans of the Eurythmics can expect to hear their greatest hits performed live by Dave Stewart and the band, starting on November 7 in Switzerland.
