Irish rock band Fontaines D.C. have just announced the release of their new version of their third album, ‘Skinty Fia Go Deo’, a title which translates to ‘Skinty Fia Forever’. This new version of the album includes live sessions, reworks, and covers from the ‘Skinty Fia’ era, a moment in time which the band are now memorializing.
NME’s Sophie Williams gave the original ‘Skinty Fia’ album a five-star review, praising the album’s ability to capture the depth of the crisis facing Ireland, and admitting it was a triumph.
Frontman Grian Chatten spoke of his excitement at the band’s upcoming tour with Arctic Monkeys across the US, praising the Sheffield band for their ability to maintain their credibility throughout their global success. He went on to express his admiration for the band, noting how they had managed to weather the storm of their success and how fans still gather for listening parties when a new album drops.
