Metric has recently released their newest single ‘Who Would You Be For Me’ and announced a series of small gigs in the UK and Europe.
The Canadian-American band, which is made up of Emily Haines, James Shaw, Joshua Winstead, and Joules Scott-Key, have released three singles from their upcoming album ‘Formentera II’, the latest being ‘Who Would You Be For Me’.
Haines has described the track as “a throwback lullaby set in NYC in 2002”, describing her own journey to recognize her own desires and separate them from those of another.

The band is also celebrating twenty years since their debut album ‘Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?’, having re-released the album on vinyl with new colors.
To commemorate the anniversary, Metric will be playing a handful of intimate shows, with concerts in London, Paris, and Berlin, preceded by gigs in the US.
Formentera II is set to release on October 13th via Metric Music International/Thirty Tigers and is the follow-up to their 2022 album, Formentera.
The latest album has been highly praised, with NME’s Rhian Daly describing it as “an exercise in trying to let go” and that the “title track brings some stillness and calm after the tension and anxious storm”.

Fans of the band will be excited to hear the newest single and have the chance to see them perform live in the coming months. Tickets for the shows are available now and pre-orders for the album can be made.
