Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion to Debut ‘Bongos’ at 2023 MTV VMAs

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are set to give fans an unforgettable live debut of their highly anticipated collaboration, ‘Bongos’, at the 2023 MTV VMAs. The song, which was released on Friday (September 8th), is the first time the two have teamed up since their smash hit ‘WAP’ back in 2020.

The two will be joined by other performers, including Olivia Rodrigo, Måneskin, Doja Cat, Fall Out Boy and more, at the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey on September 12th.

Taylor Swift, Doja Cat and SZA have all been nominated for this year’s VMAs, with Swift leading the way with eight nominations. Other artists nominated include Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj and Sam Smith, all of whom are also competing for the Video Of The Year category.

Shakira will be presented with the Video Vanguard Award, and Diddy will be receiving the Global Icon Award and performing at the event.

Discussing the song with DJ Whoo Kid on the Whoo’s House radio show, Cardi said: “It feels good [to get back into the game],” and that she was thankful for Megan’s trust. She also said that the video for ‘Bongos’ is ‘a whole complete different type of theme’ and that a lot of thought has been put into it.

The song follows Cardi B’s recent singles, ‘Hot Shit’ and ‘Up’. Fans are eagerly awaiting the performance of ‘Bongos’ at the VMAs, and are sure to be captivated by the duo’s performance.
