Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has announced the postponement of his ‘Mathematics’ tour date in Las Vegas due to production issues. The show, which was due to take place at Allegiant Stadium on September 9, will now be held on October 28.
The ‘+ – = ÷ x Tour’ is the first leg of Sheeran’s North American tour, and has seen the star performing across the US and Canada. Fans were warned that the Vegas show would be “significantly delayed” before it was cancelled altogether.
Taking to Instagram, Sheeran expressed his disappointment at the news and apologised for any inconvenience caused. He stated that tickets purchased for the original date would remain valid for the rescheduled one.
The tour will now conclude with the Vegas date, with gigs in California scheduled for the next two weekends. Following the tour, Sheeran will be performing two special gigs at London’s Royal Albert Hall. He will be performing his new album ‘Autumn Variations’ in its entirety. The shows will take place on November 18-19.
Sheeran’s new album, which is set for release on September 29, was produced by the National’s Aaron Dessner. It is the singer’s second album of 2023, following May’s ‘Subtract’.
Music fans won’t want to miss the chance to see Ed Sheeran live in concert. With the tour ending in Vegas and the special performances at Royal Albert Hall, fans are in for a treat. Be sure to get your tickets soon before they’re gone!
