Oliver Anthony, the viral sensation, had an unforgettable performance this weekend at the rain-affected Blue Ridge Rock Festival. Joining forces with Papa Roach and Shinedown, the talented musician put on a unique acoustic show in the car park of the Virginia-based festival.
The event, however, was ultimately cancelled early due to storms, resulting in the missed sets of Limp Bizkit, Pantera and Evanescence. Despite the unfortunate news, the festival encouraged festival-goers to stay safe and take care of each other.
On Saturday (September 9), Anthony amazed fans with his impromptu performance alongside Papa Roach and Shinedown. The trio shared a heartwarming moment with the crowd, with the bands thanking those who chose to stick around for the show. Footage from the performance can be viewed on Twitter.
The release of Anthony’s ‘Rich Men North of Richmond’ on August 8 has helped propel his career to new heights. The single quickly hit number one on the iTunes Country Charts, soared to the top spot on Apple Music’s Global Music Charts, and racked up over 32 million views on YouTube.
He recently dropped a new track titled ’90 Some Chevy’, further demonstrating his immense talent. With the release of his latest single, it is clear that Oliver Anthony is a force to be reckoned with.
