Corey Taylor Opens Up About the Physical Demands of Touring with Slipknot

Corey Taylor has recently opened up about the physical demands of touring with Slipknot, describing it as “hard fucking work”. The frontman, who will turn 50 in December, stated that he may only have five years of touring with the masked band left.

In an interview with Rock Feed, the vocalist spoke further on Slipknot’s longevity and how his physical ailments can affect his performance. Taylor explained that although he goes out of his way to take care of himself, he has “a lot of fucking miles on me”, specifically mentioning his bad knees, feet and a broken toe. He also said that travel doesn’t lend itself to being healthy, as it usually leads to bad eating and sleeping habits.

Taylor also noted that it’s not always glamorous for a musician of his level, as sometimes the catering isn’t the best and you may have to eat a soggy sandwich at 12:30 in the morning. He concluded by saying that touring with Slipknot is hard work and that he will continue to do it as long as he can physically handle it.

Slipknot have been touring in support of their seventh studio album, ‘The End, So Far’, and Corey Taylor has upcoming UK and European solo dates in November. His second solo album, ‘CMFT2’, will be released on Friday (September 15).
