Ed Sheeran recently made an unexpected appearance at a couple’s wedding in Las Vegas, performing an as-yet unreleased song called ‘Magical’. The singer shared his attendance to the event in an Instagram post yesterday (September 11), showing the surprise on the newlyweds’ faces.
The couple, Jordan and Carter Lindenfield, expressed their gratitude to Sheeran for making their special day even more magical. The singer was in Vegas as part of his ‘+ – = ÷ x’ tour, though the show at the Allegiant Stadium was later postponed due to safety concerns.
‘Magical’ is the first single from Sheeran’s upcoming seventh studio album, ‘Autumn Variations’, due to be released on September 29. Produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner, ‘Autumn Variations’ was inspired by the life changes Sheeran and his friends went through last autumn.
In addition to crashing a wedding, Sheeran has been performing impromptu gigs in various places. In August, the singer joined a viral subway singer for a duet of ‘Eyes Closed’, and appeared at an Ibiza night club to cover songs by Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys. His fans can expect more of these surprise performances in the future.
