Lana Del Rey recently made headlines when a video of her working at a Waffle House in Birmingham, AL went viral. The singer-songwriter had stopped by the restaurant with her siblings and the staff there gave her a uniform and name tag. When a customer came in, Lana was asked to get their order and she happily accepted the challenge.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Lana reflected on the experience. She said that the staff had offered her and her siblings Waffle House shirts and she was excited to take them up on the offer. She went on to share that she was serving a regular customer who ordered the same two things every day. Lana said that she brought him a Coke with no ice and an empty cup for dipping.
The ‘Say Yes To Heaven’ singer also went on to talk about other topics. She reflected on the impact her music has on other singers such as Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish, who both call her an inspiration. Lana said that it’s awesome to know that two great singers are such good people and it makes her happy for the culture. She also shared that many singers, both big and small, have written her letters telling her how much they appreciate her music.
In other news, Lana is set to headline this year’s All Things Go Festival in Washington D.C. Plus, she recently performed Tammy Wynette’s ‘Stand By Your Man’ at an intimate bar in Nashville. The singer-songwriter put a country spin on the cover for a small crowd at Robert’s Western World.
