K-pop sensation Jungkook and rapper Latto lit up Global Citizen Festival 2023 this past weekend in New York with an electrifying performance of their hit song ‘Seven’.
The BTS star delivered an unforgettable set at the Great Lawn in Central Park, featuring the summer anthem as well as his first-ever live performance of ‘Still With You’. Latto joined him on stage to perform her verse in ‘Seven’ to the delight of the crowd.
Jungkook also treated fans to a medley of BTS songs, such as ‘Permission to Dance’, ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Butter’, before finishing up with a video teaser for his upcoming single ‘3D’, which is due out on September 29 and will feature US rapper Jack Harlow.
The track is described as a “R&B pop track that employs a witty use of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dimensions to express one’s desire to be connected with someone”. It is set to showcase Jungkook’s growth as a solo artist following the success of ‘Seven’, which earned him four stars from music fans.
Earlier this summer, V, one of the members of BTS, joined Jungkook on stage to perform ‘Seven’ together. All seven members of BTS have recently renewed their contracts with Big Hit Music, a subsidiary owned by South Korean media giant HYBE.
Jungkook expressed his love for the crowd at Global Citizen Festival 2023, saying: “Thank you all for coming in the rain. I love you guys.”
