Usher is set to bring his musical prowess to the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show. The R&B superstar, who is currently performing in Las Vegas on his residency tour, will headline the performance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 11, 2024.

The hitmaker is also releasing his first solo album since 2016’s ‘Hard II Love’, which will be titled ‘Coming Home’. The album will be released on the same day as the Halftime Show and includes his single ‘Good Good’ with Summer Walker and 21 Savage.

The listing on Apple Music confirms that ‘Coming Home’ will feature 20 tracks, with only ‘Good Good’ revealed so far. It follows Usher’s return to music in March this year with single ‘GLU’, as well as ‘Boyfriend’ in August and ‘Dientes’ with J Balvin and DJ Khaled released in September.

Usher’s last solo studio album was ‘Hard II Love’ but he also released surprise record ‘A’ in 2018, alongside producer Zaytoven. In a recent GQ cover story, Usher said he wanted to “be better than what I was” than his previous releases.

The Super Bowl Halftime Show honouree said in a statement that it is an honour of a lifetime, while the NFL’s head of music Seth Dudowsky said: “We look forward to working with Usher, Roc Nation and Apple Music to bring fans another Halftime Show for the history books.”

Usher is also set to perform an eight night residency at La Seine Musicale in Paris titled ‘USHER: Rendez-vous à Paris’ from September 24 until October 5.
