Yesterday (October 7) Bruno Mars was forced to cancel his already sold-out concert in Tel Aviv after a devastating attack from Palestinian militants. The attack occurred early in the morning on the Southern region of Israel, taking the lives of many people and leaving many more injured.

The attack came just days after Mars’ first performance at Tel Aviv’s Park HaYarkon on October 4. Live Nation Israel announced the cancellation of the show on Saturday via Instagram, offering automatic refunds for ticket purchases.

The attack occurred at an all-night music festival, attended by thousands of Israelis aged 20-40 from all over the country. The festival was produced by NOVA Productions and featured a variety of trance music. Witnesses reported hearing sirens and rockets, followed by gunfire, and many reported seeing multiple casualties and fatalities. Dozens of attendees were taken hostage and videos were circulating of hostages on social media.

At the time of writing, reports say that over 400 Israelis and 350 Palestinians have been killed in the conflict, with over 2000 injured and over 100 abducted. NME has reached out to NOVA Productions for comment.

The horrific attack has left fans of Mars and music lovers all over the world heartbroken. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those affected by this tragedy.
