V of K-pop boyband BTS has reassured fans that he is safe and sound after an incident of stalking. On October 27th, South Korean news outlet KBS reported that a woman in her twenties was arrested for allegedly violating the country’s anti-stalking act.
The woman had allegedly waited outside the apartment building V lives in, before following him into the parking lot as he drove in. She then walked into the same elevator as the singer and handed him a marriage certificate with her name on it. By gathering the information from the marriage certificate, police were able to track the woman down and arrest her, finding out that she had a history of stalking V in the past.
BTS’ agency, Big Hit Music, released a statement to TV Report saying they have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to stalking that threatens the safety and personal life of their artist. Meanwhile, V himself addressed the news on Weverse, saying “I’m all good~~ Don’t worry”, along with a picture of himself posing with a sunset.
The K-pop idol’s assurance is reassuring for the many fans of the seven-member band. In other news, Bae Suzy, star of the Netflix drama series Doona!, has expressed her desire to retire from the industry at any time, and G-Dragon of K-pop boyband Big Bang released a statement denying any involvement in drugs after being booked by police.
