Aaron Carter’s Family Files Wrongful Death Suit Against Medical Professionals and Pharmacies After Pop Star’s Tragic Passing

Aaron Carter’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against doctors and pharmacies for their part in the late pop star’s death. The 34-year-old singer and younger brother of Backstreet Boys member, Nick Carter, passed away last November at his home in Lancaster, California.

The suit, obtained by TMZ, accuses the medical professionals and Walgreens pharmacy of incorrectly prescribing and dispensing medications that affected Carter’s mental health and ultimately caused his death (per The Independent). Neither the doctors nor Walgreens have publicly commented on the allegations.

In April, Carter’s ex-fiancé Melanie Martin shared that the autopsy report did not provide closure, citing the results claiming Aaron’s death was by drowning while wearing a t-shirt and necklace in the bathtub.

Following Carter’s passing, Nick Carter set up a children’s mental health fund in his late brother’s memory. Posting on social media, Nick shared: “My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded. I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth….I love you baby brother.”

Aaron Carter’s death has sparked a need for more awareness around mental health, and his family’s wrongful death suit is a reminder of the importance of seeking medical guidance and support.
