Britney Spears has just dropped her highly anticipated memoir, The Woman In Me, but the pop star isn’t done yet! She recently posted on Instagram that a second volume is in the works and is set to be released next year.
The Woman In Me has become a hit, with many readers shocked and amazed by Spears’ revelations. In the memoir, she opens up about a past abortion she had while dating Justin Timberlake, and how she was unable to speak for months after their split. The audiobook version of the book is narrated by Golden Globe-winning actress Michelle Williams, and its success has been undeniable.
One particular segment of the book has caught the public’s eye. Spears talks about how the *NSYNC boys tried to fit in with Black artists, and it led to an awkward encounter between Timberlake and Ginuwine. Timberlake was reported to have greeted the R&B singer with the words: “Oh yeah, fo shiz, fo shiz! Ginuwine! What’s up, homie?”
Meanwhile, songwriter Max Martin recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of Spears’ debut single, ‘…Baby One More Time’. Martin praised the track on Instagram, saying: “Da Vinci painted ‘Mona Lisa’ and Max Martin composed ‘…Baby One More Time’, and I think this is no overstatement to claim that every single second of ‘…Baby One More Time’ is f**king glorious.”
The world got a rare glimpse of Spears’ acting capabilities when the casting director of The Notebook, Matthew Barry, recently leaked her audition tape. He said of the singer: “Britney wasn’t just good – she was phenomenal. It was a tough decision. Britney blew us all away. Our jaws were on the floor. I was blown away – absolutely blown away. She brought her A-game that day.” Barry has since suggested that Spears should make a comeback to the acting world, as she has previously appeared in the 2002 film Crossroads.
With a second volume of her memoir in the works and a potential acting comeback, it seems Britney Spears fans are in for plenty more exciting news in the future!
