Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is set to release a brand new single, ‘Cobra’, next week. The song will be released on Hot Girl Productions, the independent music and entertainment entity set up by the Houston artist.
This single marks a major milestone for Megan, who recently settled a four year-long lawsuit with her former record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. The rapper announced that the budget for her new album would entirely be funded by her, and this new single is the first in the series.
Ahead of the song’s release, Megan has been teasing her fans with snippets of the single. On October 12, the rapper posted a mysterious trio of images on Instagram, spelling out the words ‘Act One’, and followed it up with a photo of herself and a snake emoji. She then wrote ‘Tune in…hotties’, indicating that new music was on the way.
The single’s artwork has also been shared, and it features a red snake biting its own tail. The single’s release comes after Megan’s latest album ‘Traumazine’, which was released to critical acclaim. On the album, Megan directly addressed the public humiliation she faced following the shooting incident with rapper Tory Lanez.
