Peggy Gou and Grammy-winning rock legend Lenny Kravitz have come together to create an undeniable hit with their new single ‘I Believe In Love Again’. The collaboration will be included in Gou’s upcoming debut LP, set to be released through XL Recordings in the new year.
Gou has always been a major admirer of Kravitz’s music and was ecstatic to have him join her in the studio. She explained in a press release, “I’ve always been a big R&B fan, and also a huge fan of Lenny. I listened endlessly to his 1998 album ‘5’ – my personal favourite – but his whole discography is great, totally timeless. He came into the studio and transformed the guide vocal into magic, writing new lyrics and creating that incredible guitar riff.”
The single serves as a message of hope and positivity, and Gou hopes her fans will be able to feel the same emotion when they hear it.
Meanwhile, Kravitz is set to release his own double album, ‘Blue Electric Light’, on March 15th. The album will be the 12th studio effort from the 59-year-old and will be released through his own label, Roxie Records, with distribution by BMG.
The record was mostly self-recorded and produced in Kravitz’s studio in the Bahamas with the help of his longtime collaborator and guitarist Craig Ross. Earlier this year, Kravitz also made an appearance at the 2021 Oscars Awards, performing his song ‘Calling All Angels’ on the piano for the In Memoriam tribute segment.
