The Rolling Stones Announce Plans to Keep Making Music Until They “Drop”

As one of the most successful rock bands in history, The Rolling Stones have announced that they plan to keep making albums until they “drop”, according to Keith Richards. The iconic rockers recently released their 24th studio album, ‘Hackney Diamonds’, which topped the UK charts and made it to the Number Two spot on the Billboard Top Rock charts.

In an interview with SiriusXM NPR, Richards revealed that the band have “plenty more material” they can work on. He also shared that he has no plans to stop performing, as he “loves it”. His bandmate, Ronnie Wood, also spoke to NME about the album and mentioned that they have a second song featuring Paul McCartney which they are holding on to for future releases.

The Rolling Stones have made history by becoming the first act with Top 10 albums in each decade since the ’60s. Their latest album entered the Billboard 200 chart at Number Three in October, extending the band’s record as the artist with the most top 10 albums of all time, with 38 in total.

The Stones recently played a surprise show in New York with Lady Gaga at the 650-capacity Racket venue in Chelsea. Jagger introduced the pop icon for an encore performance of ‘Sweet Sounds of Heaven’. As they continue to make music and perform, the Rolling Stones are sure to remain a major influence in the rock music industry for years to come.
