Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo has been arrested on charges of domestic violence and driving under the influence. According to reports, DeLeo was arrested for DUI last month after his wife Jenn called the police to inform them that he had left the house while intoxicated. After the call, the police located DeLeo and arrested him.
Jenn later called the police again and claimed that the two had gotten into a physical altercation shortly before he left the house and got into his car. Following the claims, the police then booked the musician on felony domestic violence charges and issued an emergency protection order for him to stay away from his wife.
In a statement to TMZ, Dean stated, “I look forward to having my voice heard at the appropriate time and place to address these allegations.” This isn’t the first time that the couple has filed for divorce, as Jenn had done so back in 2018, but the two later reconciled and resumed their marriage.
DeLeo is the founding member of Stone Temple Pilots, a rock group that formed in 1989 with other members Robert DeLeo, Eric Kretz, and frontman Scott Weiland, who passed away in 2015. The band had wrapped up their tour dates for 2023, but have a couple of live shows planned for 2024, including Welcome to Rockville in Florida on May 11 and Kansas Dam Jam Music Festival on July 20.
