Britney Spears’ jukebox musical Once Upon A One More Time has come to a close after three months of performances. James L. Nederlander and Hunter Arnold, the producers of the musical, announced the show’s end on September 3. They expressed their pride in the production and thanked the talented cast and crew.
The musical, which began previews in March, was set to the soundtrack of Britney Spears’ pop hits. It follows the story of fairytale heroines as they try to change their stories after a rogue fairy godmother hands out copies of The Feminine Mystique.
To mark the opening night of the musical, Britney Spears shared a post on Instagram expressing her excitement for the show. The singer said it was “so funny, smart and brilliant!”
Recently, Spears posted an Instagram statement following her divorce from Sam Asghari. She said that she “couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly” and thanked her friends for the telepathic messages that “melt [her] heart”.
Fans have expressed their sadness at the end of Britney Spears’ jukebox musical, but look forward to news of the show’s future life around the globe.
