Last night, Chrissie Hynde joined iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses for a show-stopping performance at Fenway Park in Boston. The legendary Pretenders frontman lent her harmonica skills to the band’s classic ‘Use Your Illusion I’ track ‘Bad Obsession’.
The collaboration comes shortly after the release of Guns N’ Roses’ new single ‘Perhaps’. Last Friday, the band performed the song live for the first time at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. At Glastonbury this summer, the band also had Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl join them onstage for ‘Paradise City’.
Johnny Marr also performed with the legendary rockers at Glastonbury, and Paul McCartney watched from the side of the stage. Additionally, the band recently announced the release of a new single, ‘The General’. The track will be featured as a B-side on a 7-inch vinyl version of ‘Perhaps’, due to be released on October 27th.
Fans can pre-order the vinyl here. Although legendary guitarist Slash recently said he doesn’t see a Guns N’ Roses biopic happening soon, the band’s recent collaborations and new music show no sign of slowing down. The iconic rockers continue to thrill audiences with their classic hits, as well as new material.
