Billie Eilish Flies Economy Class and Hosts Climate Action Event

Billie Eilish is making waves with her fans once again after being spotted flying economy class on a Brussels Airlines flight. A viral video posted to TikTok shows a fan sitting in economy class who spotted the back of the singer’s blue star-adorned hat a few rows ahead of them.

The singer had also posted an Instagram story of her sitting on the flight with overhead lockers in view, wearing the same hat. Fans quickly praised the star for choosing to fly economy class despite being a famous singer.

One user commented “I actually love that she has the money for a private jet but doesn’t do,” while another user said they would have gone to the front of the plane to catch a glimpse of her, only to be told by staff that they could only use the bathroom at the back.

Eilish has been actively working to help save the environment for years now. To further this cause, she is hosting a climate action event called Overheated on August 30th in London. The event will feature discussion, resources, roller skating, and plant-based food from Neat Burger. Climate activists, musicians, and other leading voices in the movement are expected to attend.

This week, Eilish scored her second UK Number One single with the track ‘What Was I Made For?’. The song was written for the Barbie soundtrack and is her second chart-topper after the 2020 James Bond single ‘No Time To Die’. She will also be headlining this year’s Reading & Leeds festival, playing the Main Stage East at Leeds on August 25th and Reading on August 27th.
