Legendary British singer-songwriter Elton John had a health scare after a fall at his villa in France. The 76-year-old superstar, who recently retired from touring, was taken to Princess Grace hospital in Monaco for a check-up following the incident. Thankfully, he was discharged the following day and is now back at home and doing well.
The singer-songwriter had a busy summer, seen at a dinner party with actor Kevin Spacey in Nice, France, just a month after John testified in Spacey’s sexual assault trial. The actor was later cleared of all charges in July.
John ended the five-year-long Goodbye Yellow Brick Road tour with a show in Stockholm, Sweden last month. Reflecting on the tour, he shared some of his thoughts on Instagram. “When we set off on my final tour in 2018, I couldn’t have foreseen in my wildest dreams the twists and turns and the highs and lows this tour – and the whole world – would have experienced in the next 5 years,” he wrote alongside a video of highlights from the tour.
The veteran singer-songwriter has been a major influence in the music industry, with hit songs like “Your Song”, “Rocket Man”, “Bennie and the Jets”, and “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. He’s also had a hugely successful career on the stage, having recently played Glastonbury Festival in 2023.
