South Korean singer and international superstar V of the K-pop group BTS has dropped his highly anticipated solo album ‘Layover’, as well as a music video for the single ‘Slow Dancing’.

The music video for ‘Slow Dancing’ sees the talented artist escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a group of friends, taking a journey to the sea and frolicking among the jellyfish. After that, V projects a sailing ship on a wall and imagines himself and his friends as pirates.
The chorus of the song is a true earworm, with V singing “Maybe we could be / Slow dancing, until the morning / We could be romancing / The night away.”
The ‘Layover’ album features some of V’s pre-released singles, such as ‘Rainy Days’ and ‘Love Me Again,’ as well as brand new tracks like ‘Blue’ and ‘For Us.’ Additionally, fans will get to enjoy a piano version of ‘Slow Dancing.’
The album’s sound, direction, and music video production were all overseen by Min Hee-jin, the CEO of Ador and creative director for the girl group NewJeans. V had previously shared that he was inspired by Min’s work on the f(x) album ‘Pink Tape’, and so he reached out to her to collaborate on this project.
V expressed his excitement for the album in a statement: “This is an album that has my personal preferences. There will be a lot of things to show. I prepared it while thinking that ARMY would be happy, so I hope you all look forward to it. You will be able to see solo artist V, which will show a new side and will be different from BTS’s V.”
In addition to the album, V has made some of his older solo songs, such as ‘Scenery’, ‘Winter Bear’, and ‘Snow Flower’ available for streaming on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Previously, these songs were only available on SoundCloud and YouTube.

BTS fans are already raving about the album, eagerly awaiting to see what other surprises V has in store!
